Concentration quenched luminescence and energy transfer analysis of Nd ions doped Ba-Al-metaphosphate laser glasses
This paper reports the dopant ion (Nd) concentration effects on its luminescence properties in a new glass system based on barium-alumino-metaphosphates. Amongst the studied concentrations range of 0.276 – 13.31 x 10 ions/cm, the glass with 2.879 x 10 ions/cm (1 mol%) Ndconcentration shows intense NIR emission from F3/2 excited state, followed by a decrease in emission intensity for further inc...
متن کاملOptical and Vibrational Spectra of CsCl-Enriched GeS2-Ga2S3 Glasses
Optical and FTIR spectroscopy was employed to study the properties of 80GeS2-20Ga2S3-CsCl chalcohalide glasses with CsCl additives in a temperature range of 77-293 K. It is shown that CsCl content results in the shift of fundamental absorption edge in the visible region. Vibrational bands in FTIR spectra of (80GeS2-20Ga2S3)100 - х (СsCl) x (x = 5, 10, and 15) are identified near 2500 cm(-1), 37...
متن کاملOptical properties of Nd doped Bi2O3-PbO-Ga2O3 glasses.
The optical properties of a new family of neodymium doped BPG (Bi2O3-PbO-Ga2O3 ) glasses are presented. We measured a high refractive index, of 2.5, and a transmission cutoff in the far infrared at 8microm. Three intense emission bands are observed centered at 877nm, 1066nm and 1341nm. The emission cross-section is 10 -20 cm 2 and the total spectral linewidth is 30nm at 1066nm. The Judd-Ofelt p...

Aqueous solubility, effects of salts on aqueous solubility, and partitioning behavior of hexafluorobenzene: experimental results and COSMO-RS predictions.
The aqueous solubility of hexafluorobenzene has been determined, at 298.15K, using a shake-flask method with a spectrophotometric quantification technique. Furthermore, the solubility of hexafluorobenzene in saline aqueous solutions, at distinct salt concentrations, has been measured. Both salting-in and salting-out effects were observed and found to be dependent on the nature of the cationic/a...
